Available is a stunning handcrafted Ash & Axe knife with Nic Westermann hand forged blade
 
Blade: Available is a stunning 40mm English yew burr carver Blade: Micro sloyd blade intended for finishing cuts and detail carving, shaped and sharpened by Dave Cockroft using the Hewn and Hone small knife jig. Made from bearing steel, forged and heat treated by Nic Westermann.
 
The bevels are symmetrical and flat with an edge angle of 28 degrees. This blade has a narrow bevels and is designed for carving delicate details and tight concave curves.
 
The blade is around 40mm long and though it has a sharp point it is recommended you do not use this to drill or pry, just for cutting in line with the blade.
 
Handle- The handle is crafted with oak dating back to tudor times from the roof restoration at Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk followed by 5000 year old bog oak from the Lincolnshire fens 
 
Leather- The knife is being sold with a handstitched leather blade slip. The leather is a thick full grain shoulder in a dark tan colour and is stitched by hand using a saddle stitch with a thick tan waxed thread.
